Praziquantel 175 mg, febantel 875 mg, pyrantel (as embonate) 174.4 mg. Actions : Praziquantel destroys the tapeworm`s ability to defend itself from the host`s digestive enzymes and immune system. It also appears to interfere with the musculature of the scolex such that the parasite loses its attachment to the gut wall. Febantel acts upon the energy pathways of roundworm parasites; pyrantel embonate interferes with their nervous system. The roundworm parasites are therefore attacked via two separate modes of action. Indications : Gastrointestinal worms in dogs including roundworms (Toxocara, Toxascaris), hookworms (Ancylostoma sp., Uncinaria), whipworms (Trichuris) and tapeworms (Echinococcus, Dipylidium, Taenia sp.).
